GDKP Problem
It is true that there are a million threads about this , but I was talking to a couple of acquaintances on Benediction, and was generally told that the only option to get gear is to purchase it from gdkps since guilds aren't going to even accept people if you do not have the right gear. It's cool to know that through quests/daileys , I could earn some thousand gold in about a week to be able to participate in some of the GDKPs I haven't played one since early in the game. 2k will give you a piece of gold or two and you'd get about half the gold back. So I am trying to make it into the Kara Gdkp. I typically have prebis or higher equipment at the moment. I had a few of my friends give me gold in order to purchase BOE's. They also gave me a polearm from sunwell's trash. I was refused due to my 3k budget.
