GDKP Problem

It is true that there are a million threads about this , but I was talking to a couple of acquaintances on Benediction, and was generally told that the only option to get gear is to purchase it from gdkps since guilds aren't going to even accept people if you do not have the right gear.


It's cool to know that through quests/daileys , I could earn some thousand gold in about a week to be able to participate in some of the GDKPs I haven't played one since early in the game. 2k will give you a piece of gold or two and you'd get about half the gold back.


So I am trying to make it into the Kara Gdkp. I typically have prebis or higher equipment at the moment. I had a few of my friends give me gold in order to purchase BOE's. They also gave me a polearm from sunwell's trash. I was refused due to my 3k budget.


I asked the leader, who was very friendly and helpful on how things work and the amount i'd need to pay for membership and he told me that the group was seeking as a buyer that was purely interested and had at least 5-8k in funds to spend. I thought that I could make that within the next week, and make around half the amount with the cut. Then if I can find 4-5 pieces, some heroics, and some badge gear, I could be into the ssc/tk pugs.


Then he shared the details. Pure buyers don't get a CUT. That's the way it operates for the server...instant depression takes over as if I was asking how can I possibly earn 5-8k per week to prepare my character enough to join an organization, while also having a full-time job as a father in addition to other life obligations.


Then the man gives me the discord details and tells me to message him on discord. I message him, and the guy informs me that purchasing gold is the only method to get for this server. He says that the Gdkp raids for t5/t6 are packed with WOW tbc classic gold buyers that you can't create a new character and stay ahead.


It's not my intention to force Sunwell advancement or anything that has Wrath coming up but i'd like to locate a decent guild before Wrath launches however i must either buy gold , or it's not going to take place.


The ban on GDKPS/Gold Boosting in now is the sole option to prevent the PILLARS OF CLASSIC community that they continue to bring up. Im sure they won't but based on my personal experience, perhaps someone will be able to see this particular instance and get people talking.
