I wanted to try raising a Headhunter/Mageblood
I decided to get off the internet corner and ask for help after reading a lot and watching videos. I'm looking for advice on building my exploding totem if there's room for improvement or any mistakes I made while assembling it. I started with a tutorial and mixed things as I went and picked up new things. I haven't broken it yet, but I don't know if it will be as easy as I've mixed up a bunch of build instructions and put my own stuff in there.
I am currently raising the legion/red altar in the Tainted and Crimson graveyards. I have about 60 raw coins and about 100 coins that I can trade.
I wanted to try raising a Headhunter/Mageblood because I've never had one and just wanted to give it a try. If you look at the POB you can see that I have the Poormans headhunter (inspirational learning) and I'm not sure if that's the best use of a passive tree.
Should I farm Legion/Red Altars with this build? What will be the most profitable for what it is? First, Prorogen is the dumbest device in this build. Try to get one with a duration of 9.5 seconds or more and you will be available almost forever, 10 seconds is ideal.
I don't like Ming's Heart, you've got too much damage. I think you need to heal at least 36% to get the most out of Bloodnotch so get 2 rings with t1 recovery and 20% quality of life or Circle of Life and 12% for rings. If you can go further, even better. Torchoak falls into the same category as Ming's Heart. Either way Poisons deal faster damage or Phys as the additional POE Chaos Orbs Implicit Eldritch will give you dps roughly equal to its totem life, so a rare one gives more freedom in gear.
With Ashes, you waste a lot of opportunities to poison. You can master curse or run or even both if you can level up your Divergent HoA to lvl3.
One more thing - your belt is very blunt. A Stygian with 35+ charges obtained and an opening prefix is very cheap, so you craft 10% flask effect + 20% charge reduction obtained and that's good. Very good option would be jar fee + jar duration + natural jar effect (without the downside of manual version), but it will cost more than 10 divs.
