DST apparently sells for 21k in GDKP
Also... there are a lot of factors here that you're totally disregarding.
Did they have trying to find the trinket? It's not dropped every week, and it's not even considering the fact that they might be outbid in the past.
Do you know that if you keep up with all your daily doodles on your character and you earn about 250+ wow tbc gold a day? Netherwing Dailies Orgrila Dailies, Skyguard dailies fishing dailies and dungeon dailies and Shattered Sun dailies are at the point that you are able to make the most of your 25 daily dailies each day. You can only try to obtain the trinket every week. If you don't win it, you'll have 1750 gold the next week for each character you max out your daily out on.
That's only the dailies itself, it's not including passive gold earnings from doing the dailies. The luck could range between around... seven to thirty dollars, possibly more if you're lucky with green drops and sell them or the gold you earn while playing your daily dungeons (If you play daily dungeons, I would imagine you could get them to max out without)
What professions do we know the buyer was in? If they were an enchanter or jewelcrafter or an alchemist, they will probably earn a decent amount of money in their careers. Alchemists with a lot of primal mights in their possession could easily sell a substantial profits from them as there are a lot of new phase 5 items require primal mights. Similar to mecurial adamantine and any other in demand sunwell cloth transmutes individuals have been able to create since the beginning of the beginning of week one TBC.
They could also have 2+ characters they use to collect professions, or crafting on?
I find it a bit bizarre that people are pointing at 21,000 gold as the amount that clearly is screaming "Gold purchasing".
People who have not bought gold have been able to finance many regular and massive flying purchases of different characters, right? Many have poured hundreds of dollars worth of gold on their mounts simply because they'd like to keep them.
Since the beginning of time to save money, should they wish to begin saving money the beginning of time.
There's a myriad of reasons people would choose to invest an enormous amount of gold for the BiS trinket, in addition to purchasing gold wow tbc classic.
Simply the fact that someone is better in making money than youdo, it doesn't mean they're swiping their credit cards to make gold-buying.
And this comes from someone who regularly has daily isle dailies for two characters, and creates their own raid consumables and is seeing my gold accumulation gradually grow. I could make it better in the event that I really push the limit but I don't have the motivation or reason to.
