OSRS 2021 Christmas Event Recap



Introduction

A holiday even that began on the 16th of December 2021 and said it’s goodbyes on 5th of January 2022. While the event lasted, players helped the squire clean Sir Vyvin’s armour with the help of a secret recipe. Later then, they were forced to search for the missing items, while also solving riddles and building snowmen to obtain the ingredients for the recipes.

The event took place outside the White Knight’s Castle in Falador city. Players could indicate the location with the event icon on the mini-map. They were required to have a Spade with them for the event.

Walkthrough (Starting Out)

Starting off, you need to speak to the Squire outside the White Knight’s Castle. He will tell you how his life is coming to an end because of a recent accident. The Squire plays the part of Santa for the grotto in the Falador Christmas Fest. While he was doing things in a hurry, he put his outfit in the wash along with Sir Vyvin’s white armour. The armour has now turned pink.

If the armour is not cleaned in time, the Squire will get fired and have nowhere to go. You need to offer your help to him while he focuses on other important things for the fest. He’ll then tell you about a Magical Cleaning Potion that removed stains out of anything that it is used on; however, you need a few ingredients to make the secret recipe.

The ingredients are; a Festive White Wine, Festive Cinnamon, and Festive Holly. He writes it down on a piece of paper along with some additional information to how you can get them.

Chocolate Chips

Head south of the west Falador city bank and speak to the NPC named Herquin, who is located inside the gem shop. It’ll be brought to your notice that he is baking gingerbread gnomes for the festival but now he has run out of chocolate. He’ll tell you that his good friend Larry’s children visit him during the week and play south of his house, nearby some bushes. There might be some chocolate chips hidden there. So, head south and search the bushed to obtain two bags of chocolate chips. Head back and hand them over to Herquin in exchange for a Festive Cinnamon.

Cecilia’s Presents

You can find Cecilia on the bridge in the Falador city park. Speak to her and you’ll know about her secret Santa surprise that had failed. She has a few presents and has no idea who to give them to. You need to solve 3 riddles now to delivery the presents to the right person.


 

The green present needs to be delivered to the hairdresser, who can be found north of the western Falador city bank. The blue one needs to be delivered to Wyson the Gardener, who can be found in the eastern house in the Falador city park. Lastly, the red present needs to be delivered to Wayne, who can be found south of the White Knight’s Castle, inside the Chainmail Shop. Once that’s done, head back to Cecilia and she’ll give you a Festive Holly.

The Snowmen

Speak to Larry, who can be found wandering around the Falador city party room. He’ll tell you about Gurl and Buoy, who needs help building their snowman. Speak to the children and they’ll tell you about the ongoing situation. Speak to Larry again and offer your help.

You can get a Spade (if you don’t already have one) from the snow pile outside Larry’s house. Return to the children and dig 8 snow pieces. Roll them into the correct size and place the snowball on the Scuffed Snow near the children.

Buoy needs a small, big, and huge snowball (west scuffed snow), and Gurl needs a humongous, large, normal, big, and little snowball. Once that’s done, you can speak to the children, followed by Larry again to receive a Festive White Wine in the form of a reward.

The Armour

Head back to the White Knight’s Castle and speak to the Squire. He’ll tell you how to mix the ingredients to make the recipe. You can either use the Cinnamon on the White Wine first, or the Festive Holly on the Holly on the White Wine. It doesn’t matter.

Speak to the Squire once you’re done to receive the pink armour. Use the potion on the three armour pieces to clean them. Speak to the Squire again, followed by Sir Vyvin, who lives inside the castle (3rd floor – eastern part). Give him the armour and return to the Squire to get invited to the festival that is taking place west of the eastern Falador city bank.

Finally, head south of the Falador city park (near the Grotto) to speak to Cecilia and trigger a cutscene. Once that’s over, the event will be completed. Congratulations!
